William Austin

PT, DPT, OCS

Will Austin has practiced physical therapy in the MetroWest community for over a decade and moved his family to Natick in 2021. His passion for health and wellness, with an emphasis on sports medicine, movement, and exercise, led him to Northeastern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Rehabilitation Science (2013) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (2014).

With every new client, Will digs deep into the individual's story (injury and medical history plus a thorough movement assessment and physical exam) to build an individualized plan. His expert manual skill set includes joint mobilization and manipulation, soft-tissue and myofascial release, assisted stretching, and dry needling, combined with mobility drills, corrective exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and strength training for results that stick.

After an alpine ski racing injury left Will with a torn ACL requiring reconstruction, he experienced the surgical rehab process firsthand, a perspective that shapes how he coaches clients through prehab and post-operative recovery: preparing for surgery, knowing what to expect, and resuming the activities you love at the right time.

Will has a particular interest in running-related injuries, working with everyone from casual joggers to competitive marathoners: thorough movement assessment, gait analysis, and mileage review drive a specific plan to knock down training barriers and get you back up to full tilt on your terms.
